I visited a remnant of the Berlin Wall in 2011–exactly 50 years after it went up. This week was the 25th anniversary of the day the Wall came tumbling down.

This week, as the world observed the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, one of the forgotten stories from the amazing year of 1989 was what took place in Leipzig, East Germany, just one month before the Wall came down on November 9. A Monday prayer group, which began with a handful of people in the early 1980s, transformed into a protest movement that attracted over 70,000 people. I recently wrote a blog entry for the “Just 18 Summers” website, commemorating that incredible night in Leipzig. Check it out by clicking below.
